You can download the Wellsite Directional Controller in order to evaluate the ease of use and see for yourself how much of an aid it can be in real-time operations.

The version downloaded is the full version but, as you will guess, there is a catch. If the software is started without the licence control dongle it will run in demo mode. This means that the save survey file functions are disabled and a maximum of 40 surveys can be entered. The program will also shut down after 30 minutes and require to be restarted. Customisation with different logos and text messages will not be available. In all other aspects the program will be fully functioning.

Take some time to test the features of the program, the available demo files will allow full evaluation of the software.

Once the licence control dongle has been obtained the program will run fully enabled. Much of the software sold today relies on copy security that has to be activated by password. This usually means that the software licensing will be linked to that specific computer. If, for any reason, the program has to be reinstalled on a different computer or the user wishes to run the program on a desktop, then travel with a laptop, another password and possibly an additional licence is required. With a hardware licence control device the program can be installed on multiple computers and just by transferring the dongle run at any location. In addition, because the program file is so compact, it can even be run from a floppy disk. Another benefit of this system is that the version that can be downloaded here will always be the most current, any enhancements will be obtained automatically from this site.

Do not be fooled by the simplicity in operation of the software, this is a serious directional drilling program!

Download the program and demo data files below, both are self extracting files that will install to your hard disk when double clicked. The data files will be required to enable proper evaluation of the software. The default directory is c:\wdc and the program can then be run from that location. The manual is also available for download.
